magazine controversy

I've heard a talk about a girl naked with a flag painted in her body..
Well, it's not a big deal to me, but it seems that it seems controversial since Philippines has a law that forbids the use of flag other than as a flag.

There are actually 2 sides of controversy here. One is that is it right to print a naked girl in the front cover. Well, answer is no. Even the international Playboy Magazine don't do that. I mean, the girl is butt-ass naked (except for the part that her privies are painted, but still naked). Especially here in the Philippines, printing contents like that is practically illegal.

Second is that the Philippine flag is painted on a naked body. The Philippines, just like some tight oriental countries near us, is tight on using the flag. Law says that the flag is to be used as flag only. No marketing scheme, no dress, no undies, just as a flag. Anyone who is caught not following this is fined or jailed. Yes, that is patriotism. Yet, this magazine painted the entire flag on a body (which is, btw, so hot). lol. ok. enough segue.

OK my opinion in here is that I'm neutral in this topic. (yea, f*** me)
We can't say it's an art form. I mean, the shot and pose is done artistically, it IS art, but it's not art in the eyes of (normal) Filipinos.
I mean, my point is that we look at this topic differently. (Normal) Filipino sees this as offensive. Some sees this as an art form. Some see it as hot. Government sees this as way to make money (lol). I know, we can't just post something like this here. Like. We can go to other country and we can use the flag to wipe our butt. But we won't. It's called patriotism. We see ways to be proud of the country. Other countries use it for some things. Dress, shoes, blouse, undies, cars. They do that because they are proud of it (or a marketing scheme (or both)). It's different here. So as in Japan.

this is not offensive (for me). Actually I see this as hot. Yet I don't. I'm neutral. I'm barely legal.

PS : some (most, actually) part of this article is heavily based on the Radio talk by Mojo, Mo and Grace. Here is their multiply site: http://goodtimeswithmo.multiply.com/ and the radio site: http://goodtimeswithmo.multiply.com/
